Background:

Alston received her BA at The University of North Carolina and her MFA at the University of Florida. She has worked in both the editorial and corporate worlds. As a curious and keen observer, problem-solver and deep thinker, Alston looks for patterns to implement design solutions that tell a cohesive brand story. Partnering with great people to create meaningful work makes for the best days.

More about Alston:

One of the last books she read was The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. A Million Junes by Emily Henry and The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern are two of her all-time favorites.

Muji gel ink 0.38 blue/black pens are the best.

So are lemon trees.

On a personal note:

Alston and her husband, Joel, went to high school together and had one magical date to the Silver Spoon Cafe in Phipps Plaza before he left for college. They reconnected 20 years later and between them have 5 kids ranging from 21-11 years old. If you ever want to chat about the journey of step-parenting, please reach out!

Alston takes photos as a practice of paying attention. You can find some of her photography here.
